LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - (September 7, 2007) - Network Communications, Inc. (NCI), the leading publisher of real estate information online and in print in North America, today announced the acquisition of DGP (David Gregory Productions) Apartment Publications of Louisiana, the top publisher of apartment rentals in the state. With the deal, NCI acquired the group's four titles, Apartment Directory of Baton Rouge, The Shreveport/Bossier City Apartment Directory, The Monroe/Ruston/West Monroe Apartment Directory and Apartment Guide of Acadiana (Lafayette). These popular local apartment publications deliver a valuable resource for apartment shoppers throughout the Louisiana area.
The acquired publications and capabilities will be incorporated into NCI's Apartment Finder brand, which currently services 107 markets across the United States. This latest addition marks Apartment Finder's entry into the Louisiana market and continues the brisk pace of expansion in 2007 - firmly establishing it as America's fastest growing publication in the multi-family industry. In the past five years, Apartment Finder has expanded its presence into 35 new markets through acquisitions and start-ups while continuing to be the preferred choice of critical information for apartment shoppers, as well as the top pick for the advertisers that need to find quality renters.
"We are excited to welcome the Louisiana publications into the NCI family," said Marcia Bollinger, Apartment Finder's Senior Vice President. "This acquisition is an important one for us and a great addition to Apartment Finder. For the newly acquired titles, NCI brings strong online distribution, proprietary web capabilities and economies of scale which will help them grow to their full potential. Apartment Finder's Internet-integrated media strategy will give customers a full scale marketing approach for their apartment communities."
Michelle Childers, Apartment Finder's Mid-South Regional Director will manage the new acquisition. "This most recent acquisition will expand our footprint into Louisiana," says Childers. "We look forward to providing our Louisiana advertisers with the quality leads Apartment Finder has built its reputation on with our customer-focused marketing strategies."
In addition to Apartment Finder and Apartment Blue Book publications, NCI operates ApartmentFinder.com, a leading Web site with state-of-the-art features for consumers searching for apartments around the country.
